A quick, simple and effective all over body warmup

Many of you are going to be getting started at the gym at this time of year. So here is a simple video demonstrating a very quick, simple and effective all over body warmup to do at the start of your workouts. There are of course more warm up exercises you can do, but these four are a great few to start with.

Movements:

  • Kneeling hip flexor stretch – 10 x each side
  • Walkouts with overhead reach – 10 reps
  • Childs pose lat stretch – 5 each side
  • Shoulder rotations – 10 forward and back

Run through this circuit 1-3 times which will take 5-10 minutes and there you will be ready to rock.
